Der derzeitige Sprecher des Koordinationsrates der Muslime (KRM), Burhan Kesici, begrüßte heute in Berlin bei einem KRM-Treffen die Entscheidung des Auswärtigen Amtes, Frau Nurhan Soykan als Beraterin im Team „Religion und Außenpolitik“ aufzunehmen.

Kesici sagte: „Diese Entscheidung findet in unserer Community und bei unseren Mitgliedern großen Anklang und wurde durchweg positiv bewertet. Es ist ein wichtiges Signal des Ministeriums in Richtung Frieden unter den Religionen und verdeutlicht die Bereitschaft, die Religionen mit ihren Potenzialen für den gesellschaftlichen Frieden besser zu nutzen. Wir beglückwünschen Frau Soykan dazu und wünschen ihr alles Gute, viel Erfolg und Gottes Segen bei ihrer neuen Aufgabe.“ 

Zum Koordinationsrat der Muslime gehören neben DITIB, Islamrat, VIKZ und ZMD seit 2019 auch die Union der Islamisch-Albanischen Zentren (UIAZD) und der Zentralrat der Marokkaner (ZRMD).
