Der Koordinationsrat der Muslime (KRM) verkündet hiermit den Beginn des Fastenmonats Ramadan sowie den Tag des Fastenbrechenfestes (Id al-fitr, Ramazan Bayramı) und wünscht allen Muslimen einen gesegneten Ramadan.

„Ramadan ist für uns nicht nur Fastenzeit, er ist auch eine Zeit der Gemeinschaft, der Gastfreundschaft, der Hilfsbereitschaft und der Solidarität. Leider wird die Gemeinschaft und Gastfreundschaft durch die Pandemie sehr eingeschränkt. Gemeinschaftliche Iftaressen mit Nachbarn und Personen der Stadtgesellschaft bleiben auch dieses Jahr aus. Muslime sind sich dessen bewusst, dass die ganze Menschheit eine schwierige Zeit durchlebt. Der Schutz des Lebens steht an höchster Stelle. Gesundheit ist auch Voraussetzung für die Erfüllung religiöser Gebote.

Wir danken allen Muslimen und Moscheegemeinden für ihr Geduld und vorbildliches Verhalten in dieser Zeit der Pandemie. Weiter bitten wir alle, sich mit Sorgfalt an die Hygieneregeln und Verordnungen der Länder und Kommunen zu halten. Wir wünschen allen viel Gesundheit und allen Muslimen einen gesegneten Ramadan“, sagte der neue Sprecher des KRM, Erol Pürlü.

Der 1. Ramadan 1442 beginnt dieses Jahr mit dem 13. April 2021 (1. Fastentag) und endet mit dem Fastenbrechenfest am 13. Mai 2021.

Die für den Ramadan speziellen Tarawih-Gebete beginnen schon am Abend des 12. April.

Die islamischen Religionsgemeinschaften im KRM haben sich bereits im Jahre 2008 auf eine gemeinsame Berechnungsgrundlage bei der Bestimmung der islamischen Festtage verständigt. Dabei folgen sie dem islamisch-rechtlich anerkannten Prinzip, dass der neue Monat nach der Geburt des Neumonds mit der berechneten möglichen frühesten Sichtung an jedem Ort der Welt beginnt.
