Heute Morgen ging bei der DITIB Zentralmoschee in Köln eine Drohmail ein, in der ein „Großschadensereignis bis 11.15 Uhr“ angekündigt wurde. Die Polizei sperrte großräumig die Straßen ab und suchte mit Hunden nach Sprengkörpern. Die Mail war von einer rechtsradikalen Gruppe unterzeichnet.

Die Sprecherin des Koordinationsrates der Muslime, Nurhan Soykan, erklärt: „Wir sind entsetzt, dass die rechtsradikale Hetze uns Tag für Tag in Angst und Schrecken versetzt und einen ungestörten Moscheetagesablauf behindert. Sie greift in unser Leben als Muslime erheblich ein und verstört gerade die junge Generation. Solche Ereignisse sind prägend für das gesamte Leben.“

Trotz dieser zutiefst besorgniserregenden Entwicklungen, ändert die Polizei ihre Gefahreneinschätzung nicht. Es muss mehr getan werden, um Moscheen und muslimische Einrichtungen in Deutschland besser zu schützen und den rechten Extremismus zu bekämpfen. Übergriffe und Kriminalität aus dem rechten Spektrum gegen Muslime haben ein unerträgliches Maß erreicht in Quantität und Qualität.

Hier liegt ein Angriff gegen uns alle vor, es hätte auch Schulkinder treffen können, die die Moschee heute Morgen besucht haben. Wir laden alle Kölner ein, dem Freitagsgebet (13:30 Uhr) auf dem Gelände Kölner Zentralmoschee beizuwohnen als Zeichen ihrer Solidarität.
