Mit großer Irritation reagiert Burhan Kesici, der Sprecher des Koordinationsrat der Muslime (KRM), auf die Aussagen der Integrationsbeauftragten der Bundesregierung Annette Widmann- Mauz vom 6. April 2020. Frau Widmann-Mauz fordert darin die muslimischen Gemeinschaften auf, die Kontaktverbote einzuhalten. Gleichzeitig kündigt sie an, mit den Vertretern der muslimischen Verbände in einer Videokonferenz über den kommenden Ramadan sprechen zu wollen.

„Irritierend ist es deshalb“, sagte der KRM Sprecher Kesici, „weil Frau Widmann-Mauz weder auf mich noch auf andere muslimische Vertreter bezüglich einer Videokonferenz zugegangen ist, zudem ist sie offensichtlich nicht über die zahlreichen Maßnahmen der muslimischen Gemeinschaften informiert, die schon seit dem 14. März 2020 zwecks Kontaktverbot eingeführt wurden. Auf die Empfehlungen der Wissenschaft, den Maßnahmen der Landesregierungen und der Bundesregierung und aus Verantwortung vor unserem Mitgliedern und Besuchern finden seit fast einem Monat deutschlandweit keine Freitagsgebete mehr statt. Aktivitäten in den Moscheen wurden eingestellt. Stattdessen werden am Freitag Predigten online gestellt oder über Youtube Kanäle religiöse Vorträge geschaltet. Auch für den Ramadan laufen entsprechende Vorbereitungen auf Hochtouren.

Die Äußerungen von Frau Widmann-Mauz in der Presse sind für mich daher komplett unverständlich. Muslime deutschlandweit halten sich vorbildlich an die Kontaktverbote. Der Zwischenfall in Berlin war ein Missverständnis, welcher Vorort durch den Imam und die Polizei schnell geklärt werden konnte. Daraus nun eine Inpflichtnahme aller Muslime zu machen, halten wir für eine unangebrachte und überzogene Reaktion. Sollte die Integrationsbeauftragte an einem Austausch mit Vertretern der muslimischen Gemeinschaften über die Handhabung des Kontaktverbots in den Moscheen interessiert sein, stehen wir gerne zur Verfügung. Dann aber in einem direkten Gespräch und nicht über eine öffentliche Rüge.“
